reduce the lead time of long lead time parts.

- Routing By Walking About - a method of flow-charting a process by
walking about after the part.

- Rough Cut Capacity Planning - a view or report of a
production plan's capacity. It is possible to model other resources such as
personnel, machinery, warehouse space, supplier capacity and perhaps
cash-flow. No attempt is made to smooth or level the
capacity to fit into the capacity constraint (a factory on single shifts,
say).

packaging, a more expensive alternative to bar coding. Also RFID Tag.

- Request For Quotation - the early part of the procurement cycle
where potential bidders are asked to quote against a proposal. Also
Request for Bid (RFB), Request for Proposal (RFP).
