WIP
Work In Progress (Process) - usually materials that have been issued to the shop floor (or a production process) from the warehouse but have yet to complete production. Valuing WIP requires direct labour and machine hours to be vary carefully measured. For many companies WIP is known as a financial black hole.

WSSI
